I had to start this blog someway so I figured a good starting post would be about an exciting experience I had last night.
Are there bears in PA? There sure are. We have black bears in our area around Cross Fork.
Last night, while fly-fishing the evening hatch on Kettle Creek, a bear came stream side about 125 yards downstream from where I was fishing. I kept my eyes on it as it crossed the stream and made its way in the opposite direction from where I was.
I sure was glad to see it turn in that direction. Otherwise, I can assure you, it would have been a short evening hooking those trout.
